Every route finishes on the summit of Mont Ventoux, the Giant of Provence at nearly 2,000m. A one-day cyclosportif built around a single legendary mountain, starting from Vaison-la-Romaine on 6 June 2027.

The full Granfondo is 135km with around 3,100m of climbing. It rolls through vineyards, lavender and gorge country, saving the hardest side of Ventoux for a summit finish on already-tired legs.

Iconic, and honest about it. There are three distances (135, 106 and 80km) but every one ends at the top. Pick the day that fits your climbing, then train for the mountain that defines it.

Who this suits

Is Colnago GF Mont Ventoux for you?

  • Riders who climb well for their weight. With the whole day stacked into one mountain, watts per kilo matter far more than flat-road power or a sprint.
  • Patient pacers. The lower Bédoin slopes are a trap, and this day rewards riders who hold back early instead of blowing up in the forest.
  • Anyone chasing an iconic summit. Ventoux is a name you tell people about, and a timed finish at nearly 2,000m is a serious box to tick.
  • Riders at different levels. Three distances mean a strong climber and a first-time granfondo rider can aim at the same summit.
Training plan

Training plan for Colnago GF Mont Ventoux

A training plan for Colnago GF Mont Ventoux isn't a generic base build. Beina reads the event's exact demands, looks at your specific profile and the time you actually have, and maps a highly adapted plan to the start line.

01 · Race demands
One long climb, on tired legs
  • A sustained threshold effort on gradient: the Bédoin forest is 30 to 60 minutes of climbing with no respite and no view
  • On the Granfondo you reach the base of Ventoux with over 100km already in the legs, so it is never a fresh climb
  • A brutal climate swing: hot Provençal valleys, then a bare summit 10 to 15°C colder in the Mistral wind
  • Weight is exposed everywhere. Every excess kilo costs you on a climbing-dominated day
02 · Key sessions
What your weeks look like
  • 2x20 sweet spot and 3x15 threshold work to build sustained climbing power
  • 40 to 60 minute continuous climb efforts on a real gradient, simulating the Bédoin forest
  • A Ventoux simulation: a 3 to 4 hour ride finishing with a 45 to 70 minute sustained climb
  • Pacing rehearsal: a long climb ridden deliberately easy for the first third, then building to threshold
03 · Shaped around you
Not a generic schedule
  • Built from your current fitness and the time you actually have
  • Adapts every week as Beina learns how you respond
  • Syncs your sessions straight to Garmin and Wahoo
  • One clear next session, never a wall of spreadsheet
