Alpentour Trophy

Multi-day UCI MTB stage race (S1) from Schladming, Austria — four stages of off-road Alpine singletrack and gravel climbing through the Schladming-Dachstein region. Cumulative GC, solo/pairs. Next date ~2027-06-19 approximate.

Date

Location
Schladming, Styria, Austria
Category
MTB stage race — solo / pairs
Difficulty
Tough

Four stages, four consecutive days, one cumulative clock. The Alpentour Trophy is a UCI-registered MTB stage race out of Schladming in the Austrian Alps, and it is won on your worst day, not your best.

Around 230km and 7,000m of off-road climbing, split into four Alpine days that each start and finish in town. Ski-mountain ascents, singletrack, gravel forest roads. Then you get up and do it again.

It is not the distance that breaks riders. It is the repetition. Empty the tank on stage one and stages three and four take it back with interest.

Who this suits

Is Alpentour Trophy for you?

  • Riders who recover fast. This event rewards the athlete who backs up a hard day, not the one with the single biggest engine.
  • Steady pacers with the discipline to hold back. Over-cook stage one and the GC is gone by stage three.
  • Confident off-road descenders. Alpine singletrack on day-four legs is where time and skin get lost.
  • Solo or pairs riders who love the mountains. Four days of Styrian Alps, raced rather than toured.
Training plan

Training plan for Alpentour Trophy

A training plan for Alpentour Trophy isn't a generic base build. Beina reads the event's exact demands, looks at your specific profile and the time you actually have, and maps a highly adapted plan to the start line.

01 · Race demands
Four Alpine days on a cumulative clock
  • Around 2,000m of Alpine climbing every single day, four days running
  • Off-road singletrack and gravel descents ridden on progressively tired legs
  • Cumulative time: consistency across all four stages beats one heroic day
  • Between-stage recovery (refuel, sleep, kit) is part of the race, not a break from it
02 · Key sessions
What your weeks look like
  • Back-to-back weekend blocks: 3.5hr MTB Saturday, 3hr Sunday, both with real climbing
  • Climb repeats: 5 to 6 x 8-12min at 90-100% FTP on a genuine climb
  • Skills under fatigue: 30min of descents after a 2.5hr climbing ride
  • In specialise, a full 3 to 4 day block to rehearse the stage-race fatigue curve
03 · Shaped around you
Not a generic schedule
  • Built from your current fitness and the time you actually have
  • Adapts every week as Beina learns how you respond
  • Syncs your sessions straight to Garmin and Wahoo
  • One clear next session, never a wall of spreadsheet
